Antique Persian Runner, 2'5"x10'11"
A genuine, antique, hand knotted, Persian rug adds color, warmth and worldly charm to complement any decor style.
This colorful runner rug is perfect for a hallway, galley kitchen aisle, or any other long walkway space.
The piece was skillfully hand knotted in the town of Dargazin, in the Hamadan region of Iran, c. 1930's.
In terms of condition, we washed the rug by hand in July, 2024, and stored it carefully since then. The colors and design show beautifully. The wool pile is remarkably full, with very little visible wear. Some white foundation knots appear on the surface, though, as is typical with older rugs. A previous owner sewed added fringe onto the ends, though, and the added fringe hides a bit of the end borders from view. Some adhesive tape is also on the back side of the rug, on the ends underneath.
DETAILS:
