CRAFTSMANSHIP & CHARACTER
Mohajeran Sarouk rugs represent a graceful evolution within the storied Sarouk tradition — prized for a dense, resilient pile and intricately drawn floral language that flows across the surface with harmonious effect. The floral and vine motifs here are arranged in a balanced, medallion-anchored layout, reminiscent of a garden both formal and free-spirited. Because Sarouk weaving places a premium on robust wool and rich, saturated dyes, these carpets offer a surface that feels substantial underfoot and resonant with visual texture.
“The Luminous Garden” interprets these traditions through a composition that feels equally at home in a formal living area, beneath a dining suite, or as a defining piece in a study or library. The interplay of color and pattern conveys both refinement and energy, making this rug a centerpiece that draws the eye while grounding a room’s overall palette. Each knot carries the imprint of a hand-wrought process that has made Persian Sarouk carpets enduring favorites in homes around the world. What emerges is a textile that feels both richly historic and astonishingly adaptable to contemporary interiors.
The rug carries the marks of its long history, including significant abrash (natural color variation) and also damage to the wool pile on approx. 6% of the rug's surface.
